Madonna von Jessen is a beautiful, shy, 18 month old Shepherd/Lab/? mix. She has come a long way from the frightened girl she was when she first arrived at the rescue. In her foster home she sleeps with the pack and shows up for all of her meals and even takes solitary walks in the fenced front yard. She loves the one-on-one attention she gets from her foster mom while the other dogs are kickin’ it in the same room. Madonna walks well on leash and is well behaved inside and outside. She is cautious of people she does not know, barking at strangers who appear at the door (as well she should) and clearly protecting her turf; however, when her family comes through the door, she dances in delight. Sweet and housebroken, this clever girl will sit in front of the cookie cabinet and whine when she wants an extra treat. Because marvelous Madonna is so calm, cool and collected, she will do well in nearly any home.
